Let Your Weekend Be Filled with Happiness!

My last post was quite lengthy, so for this one, I’ll be quite brief. Just some thoughts for a happy holiday weekend and beyond.

Go out and find some fabulous local produce at a farmer’s market or farmstand and enjoy the bounty of the season!

Get around to the gardening you’ve been waiting to do! (Or in my case, pot the poor plants that have been waiting way too long to look fabulous!)

If planning an outing, find a good crafts or art show where local artisans are showcasing their wares. Like this fabulous Lemon Peel Soap I came across recently by a local soap maker. Support your local artists!

No matter how busy you may be – or not be –

make some time for your furry small fry.

And above all – and which may include all of the above – take the advice on this journal given me by a dear friend – Do more of what makes you happy!

Happy July 4th!

  1. I wish I could reach through the screen and have one of those vibrant berries! Our strawberry season is over, but the blueberries are in full swing. We went to the farmers market yesterday and got some beautiful fruits and veggies. I’ve been spending quite a bit of time with my furry family. And the one with you is a beauty! I’m hoping to get back in the blogging groove soon. I thought I’d dip my toe in slowly. Take good care, Jeanne.

    • Hi Cheryl! So glad you stopped by. Yes, those berries are from a local farm, and red all the way through and sweet. Normally, I buy organic, but at this time of year, I do want to support my local farmer, who is so careful with pesticides (unlike your standard growers) On their website, they have a calendar on what you can get each month – https://www.phillipsfarms.com/pdf/PhillipsFarmsCropTimeTable.pdf and in yellow, what you can pick yourself. I am so grateful to have a farm like this 7 minutes drive from my house!
Happy you dipped your toe in here! ❤️ Jeanne
