Undoubtedly, I will have more to write in the future, but for now, an introduction.
Between Jazzy’s passing over and now has been the longest time I have been without an animal in my life. It seems the stars were busy aligning themselves just right. And so they have.

My heart goes out to you, Jeanne. I feel for your loss of your special cat companion Jazzy, but I am glad another kitty has now entered your heart and home. Charlie is a handsome kitty.

Hi Lavinia, so glad to see you! Thank you for your kind words. Charlie is not only handsome, but has also adapted remarkably quickly. He still has a ways to go, but considering it’s only been a week, it’s surprising how comfortable he is. Lucky me and lucky Charlie, I’d say.

Hi MJ, Thanks so much. I considered quite a few cats with this rescue alone (F.U.R.R. – who is terrific), but my gut kept telling me that he was my guy. Everything happens exactly the way it’s supposed to, right? :-)

Hi Andrea, It’s been a crazy time here – between this election, and a cat who is kind of like a kitten on speed (but much bigger.) Whew! I’ve had to cat-proof areas in the house, something I’ve never had to do before, but we’re all getting there. He is a sweet, sweet boy, and definitely happy here, and I am happy (though tired :-P) to have him here!

Hi Becky! He is adorable, and very sweet and cuddly, and also into everything, and I mean everything! I keep reminding myself that it’s only been 2 weeks, but I’d forgotten how much time it takes to acclimate a new animal to one’s home. I’m very glad I adopted him. 😊
