Getting By in the Holiday Busy-ness

How are you getting by? There always seems so much to do and not enough time to do it.

No matter how early you start, or how much you think you have done, it still all starts running together in no time. Have you found the secret to keeping it all together when it seems like it will never get done in time?

Here are two time-tested ways that help me get through – #1 Charlie and #2 Coffee. Yup, my trusty Chemex and organic decaf, BUT … with 20% of some yummy caf.

A cuddle that’s just waiting for me, and a thermos of Joe for the day makes that Christmas to-do list just a little bit more do-able.

How about you?

  1. Getting by through cutting back and enjoying the spirit of the season with free concerts, some theater, walks, photography, video chats, shared meals, quiet days with books and music, and yes, coffee…and chocolate!

Love to you and Charlie, dear friend. XO

    • That sounds wonderful. I have also cut back greatly, but my biggest time-stumbling block is having a shop. Creating, prepping, and adding items takes so much time. Plus an event. Each year I question – do I want to do this, because I want the Christmas you’re having! And yes, chocolate. 😊

Thanks, Kitty. He and I are sending lots right back to you! ❤️

  2. I should hope life offers more than getting by, my lovely. xx Great picture of Charlie, but since working with Dr. Jason, I’ve retired my Chemex. It actually has a thick layer of dust on it. We get to choose how busy we are, so the secret for me is to do less if only for the month of December. This season holds sacredness. 💖

    • How busy we are depends on what we do for a living. With an online shop that makes most of its income over the holidays; same for a live event, only at the holidays; and longstanding clients that need projects done by Jan. 1 and Jan. 7 – different demands. I am not happy that I miss so much of Christmas, but I also need to make a living. Evaluation of what works and doesn’t is an ongoing process.
