Morning Walk Late September

September 26, 2013 by still a dreamer

It has been a lovely Fall so far … crisp, sunny days with a light chill at night, not quite cold enough to turn on the heat, but chilly enough to warrant a warm blanket or quilt.

On morning walks the leaves seem to whisper that no matter how green they are now, they soon will be slipping into golds, crimsons and pale, dusky rose.

Pumpkins and mums announce the onset of Fall, and the river glides lazily towards the sea, resplendent surrounded by her last-of-summer greens.

MorningWalk-River2

The smile that flickers on baby’s lips when he sleeps — does anyone know where it was born? Yes, there is a rumor that a young pale beam of a crescent moon touched the edge of a vanishing autumn cloud, and there the smile was first born in the dream of a dew-washed morning.   ~ Rabindranath Tagore

See ads on your post. I just upgraded to NO ADS and WP gave me a $20 credit, so will only cost $10 first year. Glad you are de-stressing and enjoying fall. How is Jazzy?

I wonder how it is that I NEVER see ads … not on anyone’s post! Not mine, not yours …. how odd.
Jazzy is doing well. Finally finding the “soft spots” in the house where she can curl up and nap in comfort. 🙂

But I never see ANY ads on any WP sites! I even checked out my site from a different computer — no ads. But I will do your suggested search. Thanks.

I just saw the first ad on your blog this week. A friend using Safari told me of the garish ads on my site. The browser makes the difference…I might have looked at your post on Chrome…

I do have Safari set up on my computer – and I have yet to see an ad anywhere. Guess I’m living in a fool’s paradise!

    Love the quote!

As for the ads–they’re an odd thing. For a time I saw them on my blog before I would log in. Now they’re gone again. I think WP shares them around to make some bucks. Or not.

It’s always comforting to find that, in spite of all the insipid and shallow trash that is tossed at us from the media, there is still such a wealth of beautiful writing to be found. I love a quote that can say something both richly and succinctly.

    My dear, dear Jeanne,
Oh how my heart soared coming here…drinking up the generous vistas of beauty and finally when I thought it couldn’t get any more beautiful, you add that one last touch of Rabindranath Tagore’s words. You have given me such a beautiful gift this morning my dear friend! Sharon

Sharon, it makes me so happy that you have found such pleasure visiting my blog, and I sincerely mean that. You know, there are so many who have written such elegant and lovely words, I cannot help but sometimes use them to inspire me, and happily, you! Take care – with love, Jeanne
