You mean personal growth? In a drawer? Yes. Here’s how.
In the far back of this drawer were several bundles of tableware that I had not so much as looked at in all the years I’ve lived here. Service for eight, plus an odd assortment of spoons and serving pieces. I decided to see if they were worth anything.
After appraisal, there was one lone spoon that was sterling silver, for which I got $33.00. That was nice. I let the rest go.
The next payoff came in my taking everything out of the drawer; thoroughly cleaning it all, plus the interior of the drawer itself. With the extra space, I did some happy re-arranging.
Now my life is not just cleaner, but lighter, and has more room. When we let go of what no longer serves us, even in small ways, we have more room, and that’s when we grow.
What have you been doing to allow more room for growth?

Good for you! I’m making room in my closet by sorting and giving clothes away and room in my garden by weeding and cutting back/deadheading. XO

Wonderful! All of the letting go matters. Allowing room for growth is how it happens. ❤️

I LOVE going through drawers and find it interesting to see what’s in there. So many things that no longer serve us, but at the time, we kept it just in case. My daughter takes a lot of nutritional products, but when she moved out, she left a couple of drawers full of them. A few days ago, I went through each drawer to find most of the products expired in 2023, so now the drawers are empty. Great find on the spoon! 🧡

“Just in case” – that was definitely the way to go. I have a `sister’ drawer just like that one on the other side of the sink, filled with wraps and kitchen tools I use less frequently, now soon to be investigated. But a peek showed me I have an ice cream scoop! Who knew? 🤣🤣 And two empty drawers for you – woo hoo!!

An ice cream scoop?!! 😂 That’s like the day I found a potato masher. Yay to us both! 🧡

I know, right? Such happy surprises finding these things! I had to contain myself from running right out and getting some ice cream just to celebrate! 🤣

Haven’t gone yet – it’s 95 degrees out there! I’ll have soup by the time I get to the car. But … it’s on my list for Thursday when the heat breaks. :-)
And for you … potatoes? 😃

But it will refreeze. Hah…I haven’t eaten potatoes in years, but the masher was used by my daughter, so I gave it to her. Enjoy your ice cream! 💞

Wow! An ice cream scoop. It takes me back to the days when all you could buy was 1/2 gallons of ice cream (mostly vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) and you needed a scoop to fill your bowl. Now, there’s pints of ice cream that you eat with a spoon at one sitting. With the money you got for the spoon, you can buy 2 pints of Ben & Jerry’s or Haagen Daz. Love you.

Yup – those were the days! I’m very excited to find that scoop, and there are still lots of half-gallon containers to be found – Turkey Hill, Friendly’s – I have to look. I know they’re out there in that freezer case somewhere!
Let’s not talk about the cost of the really yummy, good quality ice creams … that I would never eat at one sitting! I think I’d pass out from sugar shock. Love you, too. ❤️
