If you live anywhere in the swath of the recent and impending snowstorms that we have been having/will soon have, I know what you’re really saying, as am I, not Let It Snow, but Let It Stop.
The other night I heard the weatherman on TV saying to “Embrace the cold.” I’m having a hard time with that as it just keeps on coming … and with snow and ice. But he has a point. Shaking our fists at the skies doesn’t change a thing, so we do best to try and settle into peaceful acceptance.
And with that, came a few photos of said snow.
And even after the snowiest day, once the sky clears, it’s still great to have your laundry smelling fresh.
Nice idea with laundry line…took mine down, once the snow peas failed to flourish. Stay safe! xo

I have no place to even put one, but this neighbor has her laundry out every chance she gets all year round. I suspect she also has to iron the sheets, which is nothing I have the time or desire for. 🙂

Oh the beauty you’ve captured is stellar. Yes I see it too, outside my frozen-shut window. Sigh. No wonder every February I have to get new Primroses (which I later plant and marvel at how they often live through this Zone 3b winter and come up next spring!) and post about Valentine’s Day and images of blossoms. It helps me get through the grey! Okay I’m lucky enough to live in ‘big sky country’ as the prairies quickly return to blue skies (shining on all the snow… gorgeous but we sure need our sunglasses!). Hugs, Gina

Thanks, Gina … and we’re getting hit with a Nor`easter tonight. It’s been one of the snowiest Februaries on record and I’m running out of places to toss my snow! Last winter was really quite mild, so I guess it was our turn for this!

Your real snowstorms echo the fictional ones I’ve used in BS–it’s been odd watching the weather reports and thinking, yep, that could really strand a lot of folks for a while.
At least there’s been sunshine judging from your photos.

There has been sunshine, thankfully. For 2 days now it’s been 51 and 47 degrees, so at least the roof snow is melting. The rest of it still looks like a zillion snow forts.
Then Wed. and Fri., back to 3 and 5 degrees respectively a night … it’s wearing pretty thin.
