As snowstorm Jonas dragged on and the snow continued to fall – heavy and then heavier – it was impossible to not start having concerns about the power going out. Thankfully, our area of the state came through A-OK. We did, however, get very high amounts of snow, lots of high winds and drifting. My driveway ranged from 24″ – 30″, and created the ghost that once used to be my car.
What a relief when everything was finally shoveled and pathways cleared. I can’t help but wonder if these huge mounds of snow won’t be with us til Spring. Here’s hoping you weathered the storm okay, and life is returning to non-shoveling activities!
So very happy to hear that you are safe and sound after storm Jonas. What an incredible amount of snow!

Thanks, Toni. Yeah, it really was crazy. Hope we don’t see another one like that for a long time! Hope you’re well. :o) Jeanne

I see where our southern Ontario snow is going: over by your way! That’s a lot of snow. We’ve had very little of it this winter. We have had some, and a few cold days, but yesterday it was spring-like balmy, and so far this winter we’ve had a lot of rain but little snow. Has yours melted yet?

This is actually the first snow we’ve had here all winter, and the temps haven’t been that cold before then either. Since the blizzard, it has been a bit warmer – we’ll hit 50˚ this week which is very warm for February. However, although it’s really helping the melting, the snow’s not gone by a long shot. We’ve got a good 10-12″ in most places, but it’s shrinking back from plowed and shoveled areas, melting off rooftops in the sun. We’re getting there.
