A Little Hope and Happiness

May 27, 2022 by still a dreamer

We are all challenged in so many ways nowadays – every single one of us on this planet. Some days more, some days less. I wanted to make a meme that might touch everyone, and would give you hope, some encouragement, no matter what you are dealing with today. Here’s what I came up with.

Does this work for you?

And then … a note on social media, that ever-hungry, (sometimes) beast that would like to devour our time. But here’s something I really like about it, particularly on Instagram. I am finding so much new music to love, thanks to people I follow who share it on posts and reels.

That I am being exposed to music in different genres, from different cultures, in different styles – it just makes my heart sing. The following is one of the loveliest pieces I have heard in a while. I guess you would call it folk/pop (?), and the song is “Bloom” by Lullanas. Thanks to @sawsanakar for opening my ears and heart to this piece. I hope you enjoy it.

May you be well, looking forward to an enjoyable weekend, and maybe just a little inspired.

My pleasure! Hey, one of my challenges this week? I wasn’t getting emails for several days. Seems to be getting better. I’ll be by soon and see if you posted!! Take care. 🙂

That’s the sweetest song Jeanne…and the quote is words to live by. Nothing worthwhile comes easily, but those things are the most rewarding in the long run. 🙌

Thanks, Barb. I literally just heard that song hours earlier when it was featured in a post of someone I follow. I was so taken by its sweetness, too. Glad you like it. And yes – its being worthwhile is what we need to keep our eyes and hearts on. 😊❤️

Me, too. Just this morning, making coffee in the kitchen, I heard a song that I’d completely forgotten about … from 1998. I will add it to my list for Ride the Music. The language is pretty raw, which I don’t mind, but maybe not for my blog and OK on Instagram. But the message – don’t judge another unless you’ve walked in their shoes – is one that I’m open to in any genre of music. This is hip-hop/blues/rock. If interested – by Everlast – “What It’s Like (to Sing the Blues) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=qA1nGPM9yHA

Yeah….it’s funny but once you start doing this, songs just jump out at you! Keep a list going while you’re in inspiration mode. That’s a good one Jeanne. Thank you for sharing!

So glad you like this. I post a segment every week on Instagram on music and songs I just love – cutting across time, genres, etc. – and this song came to my attention the day before I was going to post someone else, and I knew this had to cut in. Another great song of theirs (there are several) is Queen of Disaster. Check on YouTube. I love their sound.
      Are you on Instagram?

No, not on Instagram, twitter or facebook. WP is more than enough. 🙂

I get that! Like it or not, I now have to be on more social media – kicking and screaming all the way – to promote my children’s book and other endeavors that I will soon have going to pay my bills. It’s a double-edged sword, to be sure.
